Hi, I'm Helen Laidlaw, Business Advisor
After studying business and accounting at the University of Waikato, I was admitted to the Chartered Accountants of Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ) as a CA member in 1996. Over the next 20 years, I worked as a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) within SMEs and public sector environments across multiple countries including New Zealand, Australia, and the United Kingdom.
In 2016, I joined Business Success Partners NZ, after seeing an opportunity to help more than one business owner at a time. A strategic relationship with Business Success Partners NZ Ltd allows me to access a vast range of resources and a network of highly skilled professionals.
As a business advisor, I like to keep things simple. I say what I mean and do what I say. After all, business is about people and earning your trust is important to me.

When I’m not helping businesses improve and grow, I love traveling to new places, seeing new things, and experiencing different cultures. Originally from England, I also lived in Fiji before putting down roots in Hamilton where I live with my wonderful husband, Mike, and daughter, Gemma. I enjoy spending time with friends and family, the odd adventure race, walking, reading and a nice glass of prosecco on a summer evening.
