Hi, I'm Helen Laidlaw

I've always believed a great business comes down to knowing where you're going, having simple systems that actually work, and keeping a close eye on the money.

But the real difference? Having someone in your corner to guide, challenge, and back you as you build.

You wouldn’t just start pouring concrete and hope for the best. You’d want someone to help you think through the design, spot problems before they start, and make sure everything rests on a solid foundation.

After earning my degree in business and accounting at the University of Waikato, I became a Chartered Accountant (CA ANZ) in 1996 and spent 20 years working as a CFO across NZ, Australia, and the UK in both SMEs and public sector roles.

In 2016, I joined BSP Advisory to help more than one business at a time. Through this strategic partnership, I can tap into a broad network of resources and professionals to support my clients.

I’m also a certified member of the Institute of Advisors, an international body focused on raising the standards of Business Advisory services worldwide.

But titles and qualifications aside, my clients work with me because I’m straight-talking, practical, and committed to helping them succeed.
